INTRODUCTION
A partition wall is a wall that is provided for the purpose of dividing one room
or portion of a room from another and made up of bricks, studding, glass, or
other such materials.
Metal partition:
The materials used are metallike steel aluminium and GI sheets, hence it is called metal partition walls.
These types of partitions are becoming a common way of providing partition walls in domestic situations, garages and
industry sectors,
There are many advantages over other traditional wood, brick walls or block partitions, so it became popular.
Glass partitions
Are high-quality, non load-bearing panes of glass that function as room dividers.
These are cheap, and easy in construction and provide reasonable sound insulation. such walls are constructed from glass
sheet or hollow glass blocks.
Aluminium partitions
Aluminium Partition Panels (Aluminium Partition Panels) are basically two aluminium sheets that are resistant to corrosion.
A polyethylene core sheet is put in between these two aluminium sheets for additional benefits.
PVC partitions
PVC Partitions are relocatable wall systems & offer many benefits when compared to fixed construction. They are modular,
don't need painting or wall coverings, and are custom-made to fit the dimensions of your space.
METAL PARTITION
•Metal partitions are much lighter in weight
than wood, brick and block partitions.
•These partitions will be fixed more
precisely than different partition walls.
•Their materials have higher resistance to
fire.
•These partitions are less expensive than
wooden, brick or block partitions.
•These partitions can be destroyed and used
at any desired location.
•This partition requires several fitting
accessories for fixing.
•It needs a sealing joist running across the
steel channel.

GLASS PARTITION
▪GLASS SHEET PARTITION :
▪Glass sheets are fixed in wooden / aluminium / metal
framing using rubber beading.
▪Wired glass, bullet proof glass, and three ply glass are
examples of strong glass sheets which are suitable for
glass sheet partition wall construction.
▪GLASS BLOCK PARTITION :
▪Glass Blocks are translucent units of glass, light in weight
and available in different size, shape and thickness.
▪They are usually square with thickness of 10cm.
(14x14cm or 19x19cm)
▪Joining edges are painted internally and startrd
externally to form key of mortar.
GLASS BLOCK PARTITION
• Glass blocks are usually laid in cement, lime mortar
(1:1:4) using fine sand.
• For blocks up to 15cm in height. Expanded metal strip
reinforcement is placed in every 3 or 4 course.
• If height of block is more than 25cm, reinforcement
placed in every course.
• Glazed partitions are a common feature of interior design
for offices, commercial premises and public buildings.
• They are commonly used to Create distinct but open
• Work areas or ‘pods’ to give a sense of definition and
differentiation to spaces without affecting the ‘open
plan’ feel of an office
• Enclose separate areas completely without restricting
light and lines of sight.

1.Install tracks: top and bottom 3.Slide in the glass: the top first and then bottom
