There are several types of group controlled instruction including group interactive sessions, cooperative learning, group investigation, and group projects. Group interactive sessions involve dividing students into small discussion groups on different topics. Cooperative learning allows students to learn in groups by forming teams to share knowledge. Group investigation assigns groups to research a topic. Group projects involve all students working together as a team on a larger project.
