INTRODUCTION
 There are basically three categories of events.
 Business events and Trade Fairs
 Cultural Festivals and Exhibitions
 Sports, recreation and hobbies-based.

 There are numerous models and theories for event management. They depend and vary
based on the level of detailing, complexity and the process and steps involved.
 These models outline the lifecycle, process, how the event is planned, their operations,
project and also the entre management of the plan.
STRATEGIES AND THEORIES
 The EMBOK Structure
 This model shows the basic elements of the event and its management and
how it goes with the management activities. In this model, we learn that
the management or the event management team is dealing with the
changes in the supply chain and the quality assurance and control system
so that it is monitored in an effective manner. The model also reflects the
risks that may be associated with the event.
 Unified Model of Event Management
 This is a process that is related to the human resources and the
management for the venue and the operations. This is very vital and
important for the stakeholder management as well.

STRATEGIES
 The Leeds Music Festival and the Reading festival is quite spectacular
at all the ends.
 The festival has got a palimpsestic title and concept and their location
is also quite exquisite.
 In the modern metropolitan event, there are concepts that are
economic and symbolic which sheds light on the interest that the
parties take in making the event successful.
 The concept of brand is manifested here and this is seen by the fact
that the festival spreads along different cities and venues during the
weekend.
 This means that there is a combination of material and ideological
contexts of the stakeholder interests so that the performances are
accurately assessed as well.
EVENT AND EVENT
MANAGEMENT
 The concept and study of event management came through from the interest in the fields
of leisure, sports, hospitality and festivals.
 In the past decade, there has been a surge in the interest for the same in academic
interest.
 In terms of the event management and industry, it is not only a forum for entertainment
and participation, it is also a platform for learning, communication and promotion. For
instance, in the Leeds, the festival is not only about the entertainment and gala, there is
also a lot of learning and communication during the event.
MODELS AND CONCEPTS OF
EXPERIENCE
 Experience is crucial in all people’s choice and how they
absorb and immerse in the experiences rather than the
transactional exchange that might happen during the event.
 The event managers has also great role in creating the
setting for the engagement for the experience that the
viewers get and to gather in emotional connection that is
present between the attendees by ensuring that they are
planned properly.
 There are physical and personality operation factors that
may be influenced by the way in which the experiences are
set during the event.
