ABSTRACT
 A new era on medicine are expected to happen in the coming years. Due to the advances in the field
of nanotechnology, nano device manufacturing has been growing gradually.
 From such achievements in nanotechnology, and recent results in biotechnology and genetics, the first
operating biological nanorobots are expected to appear in the coming 5 years, and nanorobots that are
more complex will become available in about 10 years.
 In this paper, we present a practical approach taken on developing nanorobots for medicine in the
sense of using computational nano techniques as ancillary tools for investigating manufacturing
design, nano systems integration, sensing and actuation for medicine applications.
 The use of robots in surgery has provided additional tools for surgeons enabling minimally invasive
intervention or even long distance tele operated surgeries.
 This quote from "The Next Big Thing Is Really Small” How Nanotechnology Will Change the Future
of the world.

Introduction
 The possibility of nano robots was first proposed by Richard Feynman in his talk " There is pleanty of
room at the bottom" in 1959.
 Robotics is the use of technology to design and manufacture ( intelligent ) machines, built for specific
purposes, programmed to perform specific tasks.
 It deals with the controlled manipulation of objects with nano meter scale dimension, Generally nano
technology scale ranges from 1 to 100 nano meters.
 In this seminar we are going to discuss about the working of Nanorobotics and it's elements ,
mechacnisam , approaches and applications.

Nana technology
 Nano technology is molecular manufacturing or more simply building things one atom or molecules
at a time with programmed nano scopic robot arms.
 A nano meter is 1 billionth of a meter ( 3 to 4 atoms wide) . The trick is to manipulate atoms
individually and place them exactly where they needed produce the designed structure.

Nano Robotics
 Nano robot is specialized machine which has a dimensions of typically 0.5 to 3 microns large with 1 to 100 nm
parts.
 They are very sensitive to the acoustic signal, and can be programmed using the sound waves to perform
specified tasks.

30/03/2022 6
 Nano robots can be categorized into two groups called Autonomous robots and insect robots and major
asset is they require very little energy to operate.
 These nano robots identify the particular harmful cells and try to quarantine it.

Working of Nano Robotics
 when an implantation of a tiny robot into our blood stream. The robot detects the cause of the fever, travels
to the appropriate system and provides a dose of medication directly to the infected area.

30/03/2022 8
Elements

 Carbon is be the principal element comprising the bulk of a medical nanorobot, probably in the
form of diamond or diamond nanocomposites.

 Many other light elements such as hydrogen, sulphur, oxygen, nitrogen, fluorine,
silicon, etc. will be used for special purposes in nanoscale gears and other
components.

Swimming Nanorobots
 Swimming robots are micro or nano robots that can swim when injected into the body via vascular and digestive
system by using blood sugar as fuel.

 They are used to perform medical task the main aim of these robots is to avoid major surgery and enhance
diagnosis of disease.

 The capabilities of nanorobots include therapeutic and diagnostic functions such as ultrasounding, biopsy, laser
and produce heat by retractable arm.

Mechanism
 The attached bacteria by rotating their flagella push the microscope to forward by using different
chemicals the on/off motions of micro robots are controlled.
 These chemicals bind to the flagellar motor an restrict their movement.
 Mainly used chemicals are EDTA and copper ions are used to stop their motion and EDTA (ethylene
diamine tetra acetic acid) used to restart their motion1.
 The swimming robots contains robotic body, poly styrene microspheres, which are also called as micro
beads.
 The method used in the micro robot is bacteria propulsion method, in which the bacteria was propelled by
rotating their flagella with high speed then the bacteria adhere to the micro beads.

Applications
Cancer treatment
Breaking kidney stones
Breaking clots in blood
Parasite removal
Dental surgery
Diagnosis and treatment of diabetes

Advanatges

Rapid elimination of disease

Cost of surgery is low
No operational failures
Less risk
It also produces copies of themselves to replace worn out
And the main advantage of nanorobots is their durability which can remain operational for years, decades and
centuires.

Conclusion

From these type of inventions, it will be useful for man to cure many diseases then lead a fantastic life.
We can use the technology for more accuracy in any field.
Nanorobots are going to revolutionize in medical industries in future.
But in these technologies there is possible danger also.
Thus it is needful to invent these kind of special featured nanorobot in the safe kind which will be in nonhazardous
to the living kind.
