My favorite book is: “…Să ucizi o pasăre cântătoare“


This book is a special novel, at least that's how it seemed to
me. This book is written by Harper Lee. It is written in
English, but I read a version of the book translated into
Romanian. I read this book thanks to my Romanian
language teacher. She summarized an excerpt and leaving
me curious I bought the book and read.
My Favorite Book is:

This book is about
Scout Finch who witnesses the dramatic events that
took place in a small town when a black man is
accused of raping a white woman. The narrator's
father, Atticus, appointed defense attorney, must be
able to deal with long-term prejudices, and from
this point on, Scout and her brother Jem are drawn
into a rapid succession of events beyond their
comprehension. During the trial, the city gradually
falls into grotesque and violence, but there are
people who are not left contaminated by the
general thirst for revenge, and Atticus Finch remains
the moral landmark that gives Scout and his readers
an empathetic and balanced feeling view.

The main characters in this book are: Scout Finch, Atticus and Jem.
What impresses me the most is that these children are trying to
understand their father and are even beginning to take an interest in
their father's problem.
