FUNCTION

is a set of ordered pairs (x,y) such that


no two ordered pairs have the same x-
value but different y-values.
An ordered pair,
represents as (INPUT,
OUTPUT) or ( x, y)

Ex : ( 2, 8)
Relation shows the
relationship between INPUT
and OUTPUT. Whereas it is a
set of ordered pairs.

Ex : ( 2, 7), (3, 1), ( 4, 2), ( 5, 8)


Relation :
(-2, 1) , (-2, 3), (0,-3) , (1, 4) , (3, 1)
Relation :
(-2, 1) , (-2, 3), (0,-3) , (1, 4) , (3, 1)

Domain – is a set of all x values


Domain : -2, -2, 0, 1, 3

Range - is a set of all y values


Range: 1, 3, -3, 4, 1
