FIVE FREEDOM OF THE AIR


INTL. AIR SERVICE TRANSIT AGREEMENT
1. Right to fly over the territory of a state without landing
2. Right to land in another state for technical reason (not for
commercial purposes)
3. Right to carry revenue traffic (pax, bag, post, cgo) from the
home state to the territory of another state
4. Right to carry revenue traffic from the territory of the
grantor state to the home state of the carrier.
5. Right to carry revenue traffic between the territory of the
grantor state and another state along the route

FIVE FREEDOM OF THE AIR

6. Applies to revenue traffic carried between two


countries via the home state of the carrier
7. Applies to International traffic carried by
carrier operating entirely outside its home
State
8. Refers to the right to carry revenue traffic
between two points within the territory of a
State by a carrier from another country. Also
known as “CABOTAGE”

Language Proficiency Requirements
Minimum level 4 and should be evaluated every 3
years
Level 5 and evaluated every 6 years
Level 6,no needed recurrence
Alcohol Or Drugs

1. Within 8 hours after consuming alcohol;


2. While under the influence of alcohol;
3. While using any drug that affects the person's
faculties in any way contrary to safety; or
4. While having 0.04 percent by weight or more alcohol
in the blood.
Refusal to Submit to an Alcohol Test or to
Furnish Test Results
A refusal to submit to a test to indicate the percentage
by weight of alcohol in the blood, when requested by a
law enforcement officer in accordance with Part 91.17
(c) of the CASRs

Denial of an application for any license or rating issued


under this part for a period of up to 1 year after the date
of that refusal
Suspension or revocation of any license or rating issued
under this part.

Temporary Licence
Temporary pilot or FI licence, effectif for period of not
more than 30 days,may be issued to a qualified
applicant pending a review of his qualification and the
issuance of a permanent licence or rating by the
director General.
Duration Of Pilot and Flight Instructor
Licence

Pilot Licence is issued with no expiration.


CASR 61.23 - Medical Certificates
First Class
Required for Airline Transport Pilot
privileges
 Required for Commercial Pilot
Valid for six calendar months

Second Class
Required for Private, sport or student
Pilot
Valid for 12 calendar months
CASR Part 61.29 Replacement of Lost or
Destroyed Licence
An application for replacement
Name, permanent mailing address, date and place of
birth.
 Police report from local police office
An application for the replacement of a lost or destroyed
medical certificate shall be made by letter to the DGAC,
Aviation Medical Center, accompanied by a receipt for
the cost of the replacement licence ,payable to the DGAC
Licence or medical certificate may obtain a faxcimile
message(fax) from the DGAC confirming that it was
issued. The fax may be carried as a licence for a period
not exceed 60 days pending his receipt of the duplicate
licence.

STUDENT AND SPORT PILOTS
1. Be at least 16 years of age, or at least 14 years of age
for a student pilot license limited to the operation of
a glider or free balloon
2. Be able to read, speak, and understand the English
language
3. Hold at least a current second-class medical
certificate
General Limitations: Student Pilots
Student pilot may not act as PIC:
1. That is carrying a passenger ;
2. That is carrying property for compensation or hire ;
3. For compensation or hire ;
4. In furtherance of business ;
5. On an international flight ;
6. With a flight or surface visibility of less than 3 statute
miles during daylight hours or 5 statute miles at
night ;

to the surface ; or
8. In a manner contrary to any limitations placed in the
pilot’s logbook by the instructor.
