How to Run a Good Cell Meeting
1. Preparation
•Be sensitive to people
•Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit
•Let the structure be a servant
•Be aware of group dynamics
Here are some tios on working with different
people:
a. The Over - Talkative Person
• emphasize the need to listen
• use small group work with time limits
• gently but firmly cut them short if they
begin to ramble or dominate
• speak to them privately if necessary
c. The Not-Yet Christian
• be real
• avoid jargon
• allow them to feel relaxed and part of the
cell
• draw them out - don’t dismiss their opinions
• build relationship with the person
b. The Withdrawn Person
• use no-threatening ice breakers
• build a good relationship with the person
• make a fuss of them during the Welcome/
Refreshment time
• draw them out by asking for their opinions
(open-ended questions prevents monosyllabic
answer)
• use small-group work
d. The Argumentative Person
•don’t allow the cell to become a heated
debate
•deal with sensitive issues privately, one
to one
•a persistant argumentative person needs
to be confronted privately
THE CELL CYCLE
There is a process that all groups go through. It is
important that as a cell leader you are able to:

a. recognize the various stages - each has its own

challenges
b. know how to work during each stage
c. prepare the group for the different stages so members
are more aware of what is going on
Stage 1 - FORMING/WELCOME
Stage 2 - STORMING/CONFLICT
Stage 3 - NORMING
Stage 4 - PERFORMING
2. Close Questions Versus Open
Question
•Close questions have only one correct
answer.
•Open-ended questions, on the hand,
elicit discussion and sharing.
•Open-ended questions stir cell members
to apply Biblical truths to their own
lives.
3. Preparing Dynamic Questions
1. Observation
2. Interpretation
3. Application
4. Grab the heart
Practice Drill:
Santiago 1:19
Mga kapatid kong minamahal,
unawain ninyo ito: maging alisto
kayo sa pakikinig, dahan-dahan sa
pagsasalita at huwag agad magagalit.
I. Observation Question
- Paano ka Magalit?
II. Interpretation
-Kapag ikaw ay galit, Anong merong epekto ito sayo?
III. Grab the heart Question
- Ibahagi mo sa amin ang iyong karanasan na dahil sa galit nakasakit
ka ng damdamin ng iyong kapwa?
IV. Application
- Ano ang gagawin mo para maiwasan mo ang galit?
Practice Drill
2 Corinthians 5:17

Kaya’t ang sinomang makipag

isa kay Kristo ay isa ng bagong
nilalang wala na ang dating
pagkatao sya’y bago na.

1. Paano ka binago ni Kristo?
II. Interpretion question.
1.Anong meron ng binago sayo ang Diyos?
III. GRAB THE HEART QUESTION
