meaning of words, phrases and sentences.

There are literal meaning and non-literal meaning or also
called as figurative language. In support of Saeed, (2016;13)
the basic distinction to define semantics with a common
sense are by using literal meaning and non-literal meaning.
Literal meaning is speaker speaks in a neutral, factually

figurative divided in to three, they are: simile, metaphor
and personification.
2. The second type is figurative of substitution. In
substitution figurative there are two types, which is
metonymy and synecdoche.

hyperbole and litotes.
