Uterine Displacement and Prolapse Overview

Uterine displacement, also known as uterine prolapse, is a condition where the uterus changes position and descends into the vagina due to weak pelvic muscles that can no longer support the uterus. Common causes include abnormal pelvic muscles, multiple deliveries, and tumors. Symptoms include pelvic pain, back pain, infertility, and vaginal bleeding. Uterine displacement is classified into three degrees of severity. Management involves proper prenatal and postnatal care, pelvic floor exercises, limiting heavy lifting, and in severe cases, surgical procedures such as vaginal repair, packing, or hysterectomy.
