WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE?
Earth's climate has changed throughout Ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and
history. Just in the last 650,000 years there tropical mountain glaciers show that Earth’s climate
responds to changes in greenhouse gas levels.

Climate change is also a change in Earth's climate.

CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Carbon dioxide is mainly emitted because
of
agriculture
deforestation
the meat industry
transportation
construction
heating for residential and commercial
buildings (in some cases)
incineration of wastes
industries
manufacturing
mining
and power plants using fossil fuels
EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Melting of Glacier
Rise in Global temperature
(Global warming)
Change in landmarks
(Continents)
Change in Human beings
Shifting of sea level
LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Change Will Continue Through This Century and Beyond
Global climate is projected to continue to change over this century and beyond. The
magnitude of climate change beyond the next few decades depends primarily on the
amount of heat-trapping gases emitted globally, and how sensitive the Earth’s
climate is to those emissions.
Temperatures Will Continue to Rise
Because human-induced warming is superimposed on a naturally varying climate,
the temperature rise has not been, and will not be, uniform or smooth across the
country or over time.
More Droughts and Heat Waves
Droughts and heat waves (periods of abnormally hot weather lasting days to weeks)
everywhere are projected to become more intense, and cold waves less intense
everywhere.
Hurricanes Will Become Stronger and More Intense
Sea Level Will Rise 1-8 feet by 2100
Arctic Likely to Become Ice-Free
HOW TO CONTROL CLIMATE CHANGE?
Start afforestation and stop deforestation.
Stop using products which releases CFC to stop global
warming and ozone depletion.
Use CNG instead of petrol and diesel.
Use CNG instead of burning coal, wood and fossil fuels.
Start cycling or walking to short distances.
Use carpool or common transport system.
Recycle your organic waste .
Choose products that come with little packaging and buy refills.
Re-use paper!
When the time comes to change your car battery, recycle your
old one.
Stop using plastic bags instead use cloth or paper bags.
Encourage to use electricity generated from windmill and solar
energy.
Follow three ‘R’ principle-
Reduce
Reuse
Recycle
