EThics Conscience

Conscience can be either antecedent or consequent, depending on whether the judgment is made before or after an action. It can also be certain or doubtful, depending on whether the judgment is made with or without fear of error. Additionally, conscience can be right or erroneous, with erroneous conscience further divided into invincibly or vincibly erroneous. A scrupulous conscience is considered a sick conscience where one is constantly fearful of sinning even when actions are not sinful.
