Due to disasters and Hazards some of my fellowmen lost a
source of income. For example, I lived near the farm and it
happened that a typhoon came. Hectares paddy fields and rice
crops was destroyed and they’d lost everything. My fellowmen
who lived near the sea shore also lost their source of income.
They cannot go to the sea to catch fishes because it is too risky
due to typhoon which causes to high waves and strong wave
currents. So they tend to stay at home and have nothing to eat.
The impacts of typhoons was really devastating, it could affect
everyone’s livelihoods.

In this time of pandemic, many people lost their
jobs and opportunities which resulted to staying in
their homes without any resources of income in order

As of my observation I can clearly see how the
community respond to this program and
implementation. I can see unity and participation.
As for the effectiveness of this implementation, I can
somehow tell if is effective for it is a big help to the
community in case of disasters and unwanted
situations. Our local DRRM strive their best in
order the community to be alert, aware and cautious
in times of disasters and hazards.

Over the long way run of this NPO, I’ve seen the
changes in my community. Most of us youths were
being active in all the activities of our barangay. The
relationship towards each one another was developed
and the sense of camaraderie and productivity was also

barangay. I’m so thankful not only just me but for also
to fellow members of this organization and as well as to
our community for how many years that we have them.

For the last part, I would like to suggest to continue their
services and efforts for the sake of everyone. Continue to be
an instrument to people to be aware and alert at all times
and also continue to build projects that could be helpful in
times of disasters and unwanted situations. Another thing
also is to continue the transparency of information’s to be
given to the public in order for us to be informed. We must
be prepared at all times so that no more panics to have.
