Reminder!
There is a difference between asking questions with the
intention of making the other person look stupid or ignorant
and asking questions with a genuine desire to know!!!

You are truly a lover of wisdom! You are a

philosopher
Pilosopo as Philosopher
• In the Philippines, the term pilosopo connotes the
image of a comical and annoying character.
• It is also described as “KSP”

Time to Reflect!
Have you ever had an experience in which you
wanted to ask a question but you were afraid to
raise them? Why were you afraid? Or have you had
an experience wherein you asked a question but
you were made to feel like you were stupid to ask
that question? Do you think those people were right
in reacting that way?
Prayer
Thank you, Father God for the opportunity
to start another day, for making us safe and
feel blessed that we could still have
education in the middle of this pandemic.
We anchor our lives to you and help us go
through this and may we could go back
again to a better normal. In Jesus name.
Amen.

Nature of Appearance and Reality
What is real and what is illusion in
the world of the senses?
“We use our five senses” but we cannot process the real ‘as
is’ but instead can only go so far as one may feign to
perceive.

Attaining knowledge of reality is genuinely

impossible, even if we have beliefs that happen
to coincide with the truth.

Conception about reality may
also have an implication toward

The Value of
Philosophy
• Enabling a person to widen his or her
perspectives to avoid dogmatism.

• It’s a reflective activity where you renounce

who you are, your beliefs, and your values.

• It’s closing to yourself to the possibilities of

other perspectives.

It is led you to amend what was stated to satisfy

Reflective Inquiry
“Meaning-making” process moves a learner from
one experience with connections to other
experiences and ideas.
It serves to validating personal experiences a

engaging in the process of inquiry.
A person who wants to philosophize must be
aware that for any type of philosophizing to be
successful and effective, speculations, criticism,
and reflective inquiry must involve one’s
creativity and attitude.
