 He was born on August 20,1946
in Mysore.

years (1981-2002)
 He Graduated in electrical
engineering from NIE in 1967.
 He Received his master's degree
from IIT Kanpur in 1969.
 His 1st position was at IIM-

Ahmedabad as chief systems
programmer.
He worked on a time-sharing
LIFE 
system.
Designed and implemented a
“BASIC” interpreter for ECIL
(Electronics Corporation of India
Limited).
CAREER

Narayan Murthy first served as a Research Associate under a


faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and then later served as the chief
systems programmer

He started a company named Softronics. When that company


failed after about a year and a half, he joined Patni Computer
Systems in Pune .

Narayan Murthy and his six software professionals


founded Infosys  in 1981 with an initial capital investment of Rs
10,000, which was provided by his wife Sudha Murthy.

on to become one of the largest wealth creators in the

And Narayan Murthy Was also the such person because when he lost money in his first
venture Softronics in 1980, he learned from his mistake and took care of all those things
in life.

HONESTLY
 The big man of Indian IT kept his personal life simple. He lives in
a simple, middle class house and flies economy till date. Narayan
Murthy has always been accessible to people around him.
 So He always believes in simplicity of life.

SIMPLICITY
TWO MOTTOS IN LIFE

He always kept in mind two Sanskrit sentences:

1) Sathyannasti Paro Dharma (there is nodharma


greater than adherence to truth);

2) Satyameva jayate (truth alone triumphs).
