Course Objective
 Production Planning and Control deals with the whole
process of planning and controlling in a manufacturing
system in order to meet demand with the available
resources.
 There are a number of activities involved, including
managing the flow of inbound materials, managing work
in process, schedulung machines and workforce,
prioritising orders, making capacity decisions, and
coordinating demand from the customers.
 The objective of this course is to provide students with
concepts of planning and control aspects of
manufacturing systems

Definisi PPC

Teknik yang mengelola aliran material yang masuk dalam


sistem produksi (bahan baku, bahan pembantu), mengalir
dalam sistem produksi (komponen, subassembly), dan keluar
dari sistem produksi (produk jadi, spare parts) sehingga sistem
produksi dapat memenuhi demand dengan efektif (tepat
jumlah, tepat waktu, tepat lokasi) dan efisien (biaya minimum)

 Berasal dari kata latin manufactum yang berarti made by hand

membuat sesuatu yang baru (tangible/intangible)

 The needs of management
 As competitive conditions, customer expectations, supplier
capabilities, and internal need change, the MPC system needs to
change.
 The trend is towards on-line data access and systems.
 MPC systems must also reflect the physical changes taking place on
the factory floor (outsurcing, contrac manufacturing, etc.)
 Firms that are increasing product variety may need to strengthen the
master production scheduling and detailed material planning modeles
in order to more quickly phase in and phase out new product
