Introduction :

1. A General explanation :
• Cinema is a culture , social , educational ,
entertainment project, which is for most part of
human civilization .
• Cinema have an important roles in the society , And
high symbolism of community. • J
•  cinema complex in the dictionary is a building
containing several cinemas ,and mixed with another
functions like ,mall , hotel, concert hall , theater ,
restaurant, café , galleries …..

2. The importance of the cinema:

• Cinema complex one of the most important arts in
Humanity , it can combine many arts within itself: the
dramatic arts, music, staging or 
photography , literature .
• Cinema is the art have an important roll in a progress
of a culture and educational in Kurdistan sociality .

• Lack of cinema complex in Kurdistan
• Its an urgent to establish this kind of place
in Kurdistan ,and to a main factor to
develop cultural movement .
• fill the gap between the whole community
and fine arts.

5. Brief history of the project :
• the history of film began in the 1890s,
with the invention of the first motion
picture cameras .
• Until 1927s motion picture were
produced without sound .
• By the end of 1929, Hollywood was
almost all-talkie, with several
competing sound systems .

monolith made of steel and light.
•  The concrete pre-slabs structure is
adorned with an envelope of
perforated sheet metal panels
transformed into a starry mantle by a
backlighting device.

• In the interior used the graphic
intensity of royal blue and spicy orange,
and yellow and red. In contrast with the
exterior whiteness and the mineral gray
of the concrete .

Roof structure is made of a steel structure

that breaches the gap of the original
screen rooms with a new one .

Form :
• public plaza sheltered from the
weather by a hovering canopy
connecting the existing complex with
the new screening rooms. Clad in
composite aluminum panels, with
varied size triangular perforations, the
roof structure wraps around the new
screening rooms and becomes their
façade
