Christmas Celebrations
By:Lucien. Enjoy!
Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December
every year.
Many countries celebrate Christmas around the world. Each country celebrates
the holiday in its own way. Some people even celebrate it on a different day.
The Birth
The story of Jesus is about 2000 years old.Mary gave birth to Jesus in a stable
with her husband Joseph there. Shepards and three wise wise men visited the
baby. An angel told Mary that her child was the son of God.
Christmas Celebrations around the world
Some people christmas by going to church. They read the bible, pray, and sing
songs. At some churches, people put on plays about the birth of jesus. The plays
help people remember why they celebrate christmas.
Some people sing Christmas carols outside peoples houses in the Northern
hemisphere.
In the Northern hemisphere it is winter and so everyone wraps up warm and eat
big meals.
In the Southern hemisphere it is summer so some people have barbeques
because it is so hot.
Celebrating Christmas at my house
I decorate our house with christmas decorations.
We put a christmas tree in our house to and sometimes we put stockings in our
house. We make christmas cookies too.
Santa puts presents under the tree on Christmas Eve.Santa comes when
everyone is asleep. I leave milk and cookies for Santa and I leave some carrots for
the reindeer.
We open our presents after we have eaten our Christmas lunch.
Santa and his reindeer
Santa makes presents and his elves do too. His reindeer have food before they lift
the sleigh.
The reindeer are called;
Prancer, blitzen,
Vixen, rudolph,
Comet, donner,
Cupid,
