It is a system for managing the hostel activities
It helps the admin to manage:
1. Student record
2. Staff record
3. Mess bill
4. Allotting room
5. Generating student report
PROBLEM STATEMENT 4
The old system of keeping records in hostel was paper
file system. On which records are kept in a paper file by
hand. There were many problems such as :-
1. Lack of security
2. Time consuming
3. Consumes large volume of paperwork.
4. lack of storage.

To make the present manual system more interactive, speedy,
user friendly, and provide a quick response for users.

This section discusses findings and observations done by
some research works on hostel management system.
In one of the study, the main aim of the system was to
manage the various activities of hostel.
In another study it was found out that it is important for
every hostel to use an information system to manage data
in hostel.
Also, it observed that the manual system had some
disadvantages.
METHODOLOGY 10
This section presents the research methodology used
in the study, the research design and the data
collection process.
It also presents the theoretical or conceptual
framework of the study, the sampling plan, and tools
to be used for data analysis.

Expected Outcome:-
All the details related to hosteller could be fining in one
place like the admission details, fees details, room
details, attendance, message details, student details etc.
The same system could be used by both the account
section and the hostel management for their specific
needs and purposes.
