Initial ideas for the magazine cover

•The cover needs to have a large image of the artist covering a large proportion of the cover.
He will be a white male dressed in some form of hoodie/ cap etc.​

•The colour scheme will be white, gold and black as most Hip-Hop magazine covers


follow this colour scheme​

•The quotes taken from an interview with the artist needs to be linked to racial barriers and
the artists name will need to be displayed large as it is a new artist who many
may not recognised souly from the image​

•Other artists from a specialist record label should be mentioned so the Hip Hop genre can
be identified, and the artist can be compared by the audience.
Initial ideas for music video
• I am going to make a Hip Hop video for a new artist that is part of a specialist record label that
has some references to in the music video to an issue such as racial stereotypes as my artist is going to be white
and Hip Hop is seen to be predominately a black genre.​
• It is going to be a clean shot music video with various locations, performance-based scenes
and camera angles/ shots.​
• I think this idea would work perfect for the brief as people that are between the age bracket of 18-34 like
the Hip Hop genre of music but also will be mature enough to be able to understand the barriers that are
being discussed within the music video and the magazine front cover. They enjoy a clean shot music video that
either follows a narrative or has various scenes to keep the attention in a crowded market​
• The music video will need to include the correct costume which will be hoodies, caps, jeans
and chains etc so that the genre can be identified as these clothes are associated with people that like this music​
• The locations will need to be carefully decided such as on top of a roof and in darker lit rooms as this sort
of scene appears in a lot of Hip Hop music video​
• However due to the age being from late teenagers to early 30s this means that it needs to still
be a clean cut music video that is mature enough with its scenes, locations and costumes.​
