Some superlative adjectives change their spelling:

Irregular superlatives
■ When we have one- syllable ■ In irregular superlatives we have
adjectives with a consonant + verbs that change:
vowel + consonant spelling, double Good– Gooddest – Best.

Big – Biggest Much/many – Muchest – Most.
