on views, comments, likes, re- tweets, and favorites.
– With the refer a friend promotional piece, first time users will gain a free ride and give
a free ride to a friend. With this, Uber will be looking for quantitative data based on how
many new customers are introduced based on the promotion, and how many users create
accounts.
– It’s important to determine how many people signed up only to take advantage of the
free ride, and how many people went on to use Uber for future means of transportation.
4P’S
• Product
Uber is a service company and it does not sell products. The global transportation technology company has
clear advantages over regular taxi. These include clear overview of pricing prior to booking, one-tap rides,
follow drivers on map, cashless convenience and fare splitting, as well as feedback options.
• Place

its business model. Anyone can become a customer at any time, simply by downloading Uber app. The
five top countries where the ride-hailing giant is the most active are US, Brazil, China, Mexico and India.
• Price
Uber pricing strategy can be described as geographical pricing. The cost of riding with the company
depends on three factors – a base rate, rate for estimated time and distance and the demand for rides in that
area.
• Promotion
Uber offer special promotions to provide discounts on rides to riders. To apply a promotional discount to a
trip's fare, enter the promo code anytime before or during your trip.
