The CAMACOP is a Christian evangelical group in the
Philippines originated from The Christian and
Missionary Alliance (C&MA). It is one of the largest
evangelical groups in the Philippines.
•Christian and Missionary Alliance(C&MA), is an
evangelical Protestant denomination within the
holiness movement of Christianity. Its headquarters
in Colorado Springs, Colorado(United States).
HISTORY
CAMACOP is a Protestant Church founded by Rev. Albert
Benjamin Simpson the founder of C&MA Missionaries.
The Christian and Missionary in USA expanded its missions
works in the Philippines in 1902. The C&MA was assigned in
Zambuanga- Sulu Archipelago and Cotabato- Davao regions
of Mindanao.
The First Alliance Church was planted in 1902 in Tetuan,
Zambuanga City, the first Protestant church in Muslim
Mindanao which still exists today.
In 1949 CAMACOP was registered wit the Securities and
Exchange Commission(Sec) thus become a legal personality.
It is headed by the Nation Executive Board which consist of
CAMACOP President, CAMACOP Vice President, minister
and laymen.
BELIEFS
• One God who exists as a Trinity.
• Jesus Christ is both God and man who died as
a substitutionary sacrifice,
was resurrected, ascended to heaven, and will
return to establish his kingdom.
• Man was created in the image of God, but
through disobedience is born with a sinful
nature. Mankind can only be saved through
Christ's "atoning work".
• Those who repent and believe in Christ are born
again of the Holy Spirit, becoming children of
God.
The meaning of CAMACOP logo:
•The CROSS: Christ Our Savior.
•The LAVER: Christ Our Sanctifier.
•The PITCHER: Christ Our Healer.
•The CROWN: Christ Our Coming
King.
