• Everyone needs to find their “tennis ball”

• The thing that makes them want to run towards their goals!
TODAYS SESSION
At the end of today’s session you will be able to;

• Describe your strengths and weakness’s

• Tell someone else about types of skills needed for the workplace

• Complete a questionnaire to help you “Find your Passion”

• Usually the things that we like doing

• Can be natural skills or skills that we have worked on to


develop

• Important to know what we are good at when we make


choices for our Career

• Important to know what we need to work on to reach our


goals
Weaknesses
Usually things that we don’t like doing

• Area’s that we need to work a little harder on


to achieve our goals
• Areas that we need to do some development on – weaken our
weaknesses!

• Technical Skills - IT, Databases,Finance, Maths, Science,


Operating Equipment

• Transferable Skills – Communication, Time Management,


Analytical Processes, Leadership, Delegation

• “Soft Skills” – highly sought after in graduates


Soft Skills
• Soft skills are the ability to work with others, build relationships,
your attitude to life and work and how you organise yourself.

• During your ESK 2 Unit we will work on Emotional Intelligence

• Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognise and manage your


own and others emotions
