Sports and game have great importance in school
curriculum. It is a part of extra-curriculum activity
performed at the school level. A sound minds exists
in a sound body. It is a means of recreation to the
little scholars. It enables somebody to be
disciplined, accurate and positive.
The main aim of games and sports is to create
harmony, leadership and discipline among the
students. Education is meaningless without the
realization of self. Sports activities make our life
easier, systematic and particular to the realization
of this goal.
GOOD SPORTS TO PLAY AT A
PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORTS DAY
 Slow riding bikes - a great game that’s all about balance and
not losing your nerve - great for the less sporty kids!
 Egg and spoon - a classic race that can be done in teams of
individually.
 Sack race - the sack race is lots of fun and can be enjoyed by
children of all ages.
 Three legged race - the three legged race will get lots of laughs
and is a great way for children to work as a team.
 Standing long jump.
 Relay race - a straightforward relay race is a good team event.
 Obstacle course - setting up an obstacle course is lots of fun.

 The student who are participating in the mass
demonstration activities on sports day assemble on the
ground prior to the beginning of event.
Students sit according to their activities to be
performed

 Marching is a formal type of walking.
 Students are divided into group/houses & each
group has a leader.
 Groups walk in a systematic & synchronized
way.
 The leader along with the group salutes the
chief guest.
 The march past ends with each group reaching
their initial positions after marching through
the whole round.

 The school “SPORTS CAPTAIN” recite the oath &
students follow him.
