will give an account
of ourselves to God.
We are all accountable
whether we know it or not.

1. Accountability keeps us
from moral and spiritual
failure.
Proverbs 27:17 (AMP)
As iron sharpens iron,
So one man sharpens [and
influences] another [through
discussion].
2. Accountability
strengthens our person.
• We all need someone who
will listen, pray, and offer
wise counsel when
appropriate.
• A person who is not accountable
to his/her Pastor or mentor may
easily fall into doctrinal or
spiritual error.
• A person who is not accountable
to those they lead will ultimately
cause mistrust thus creating an
opportunity for accusations
against themselves.
3. Our accountability
teaches those under us to
be accountable.
• How can we teach or expect
accountability if we ourselves
are not accountable. Those
we lead should know that we
too, have a master.
EMPOWER THOSE WHO
ARE ACCOUNTABLE
Accountability – Empowerment =

Empowerment – Accountability =
LOW PERFORMANCE
Accountability + Empowerment =
HIGH PERFORMANCE
Accountability is the
glue that ties
COMMITMENT to
RESULTS.
