Understanding Teleportation and Wormholes

Teleportation is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them. Wormholes are theorized passages through spacetime that could create shortcuts across the universe. While Einstein's theory of general relativity mathematically predicts wormholes, their physical existence has yet to be proven. Exotic matter with negative energy would be needed to keep a wormhole open long enough to traverse.

with negative energy, anti-gravity) to
keep wormhole open. Otherwise it
collapses too quickly for anything
to travel through.
