DAILY PRAYER TO SAINT PETER
O glorious Saint
Peter, Jesus gave
you to us
to show how His
great love
transformed
a simple
fisherman to a
fisher of men,
a follower who
denied knowing
his Master
to a faithful
friend who
tended His
flock,
a man with a
worldly view
of leadership as
power to a
martyr
witnessing to
His servant-
leadership.
Assist us, O Saint
Peter, to imitate
you in the
building of God’s
kingdom here on
earth.
Intercede for us to be
firm and steadfast in
doing God’s will,
humble and
repentant in times
that we falter,
hopeful and joyous
in God’s promise
that it is in dying to
ourselves
that we lead our
family,
our community
and our country
to an awareness
of His unfailing
love. Amen.
