Ocean Pollution Awareness

Every year tons of garbage are thrown into the ocean, contaminating the water and affecting ocean animals and their habitat. Creating awareness among people so they do not litter is important but difficult to achieve everywhere. Future efforts could include increasing awareness through education campaigns and enforcing fines for littering.

into the ocean. This contaminates the
water and affects ocean animals and
their habitat.
• What do you think about the problem?

Logically, I think it is a bad thing, but I am more impressed


by the unconsciousness of us, the humans, of knowing
that we are also hurting ourselves when we throw
garbage into the ocean.
• What would be a possible solution for it?

The most important thing would be to create


awareness in people so that they do not throw
garbage, but unfortunately it is something very
difficult to achieve in all people.
Other solutions would be to continue with what
some stores do that load the plastic bag or give the
option of not choosing it, also to campaign because
there are people who do not have the necessary
information on how to prevent this damage.
 Do you see this problem in your community? What do people do
about it?

• where I live if it happens, but in my case it does not


happen with the ocean but with the river

• When people see this, they try to clean, , they have


campaigned and they have also put garbage cans
near the river.
 What will you do in the future to help solve this problem?

I would say that the best way to reduce the amount of


pollution would be to increase the awareness of people,
using the money method, that is, paying fines for
littering in public places, both companies and people in
their day to day.
