SYSTEM OVERVIEW - COCKPIT DOOR LOCK SYSTEM (CDLS)
On the ground, with one engine running, the
DSCS prevents the pressurization of the A/C
if:
- a door is not fully closed and locked,
- a sensor is defective.
The primary functions of the DSCS
are to control:
- door indicating and warning,
- escape slide indicating and
warning,
- the residual cabin and cargo
compartment pressure detection
and indicating,
- cargo doors electrical control and
indicating.
SYSTEM OVERVIEW - DSCS
The red flashing light indicates an excessive
residual cabin pressure and flashes if:
- engines N1 and N2 are not running,
- residual cabin pressure is greater than 2.5 mbars,
- the escape slide is disarmed.

DOOR & SLIDE CONTROL SYSTEM PAX/CREW DOOR - CONTROL AND MONITORING
The FWD and aft cargo doors have three similar
proximity sensors, which are part of:
- the door indicating and warning system,
- the cargo door electrical control system,
- the residual cabin pressure detection and indicating
system.

The red flashing light indicates an excessive
residual cabin pressure and it is visible only if the
locking handle is opened. The red light flashes if
engines N1 and N2 are not running, residual cabin
pressure greater than 2.5 mbars, and the locking
shaft proximity sensor is FAR.

ROLL D/O
General
Controls by ailerons & spoilers 2-6
Rudder controls automatically
Manual Control mode:
Side stick roll transducers send roll inputs to the (FCPCs) and (FCSCs)
Autopilot Control Mode:
FMGECs sends guidance orders to FCPCs only
Side stics are locked when AP engaged
FCPC 1 (master) computation part calculates roll orders and sends it to all FCPCs & FCSCs
(execution part) to command the servo controls
ADIRUs send signal to FCPCs/FCSCs to establish the A/C response
At High Speed (>190 kts):
Slat/flaps retracted O/B ailerons servoed to 0 degree
In autopilot mode in some cases, O/B ailerons used upto 300 kts
Ailerons Droop:
Deflects the ailerons symmetrically downwards when flaps extend to increase aircraft lift
Ailerons Presentation:
Each aileron is actuated by 2 interchangeable servo-controls
I/B Aileron & O/B Aileron servo-controls are not interchangeable
Ailerons normal Operation:
I/B ailerons each servo-control connected to 2 computers (1 FCPC & 1 FCSC)
O/B ailerons each servo-control connected to 1 computer (1 FCPC or 1 FCSC)
Each servo-control has 2 operating modes (active & dump)
O/Bs servo-controls in active mode
I/Bs servo-controls in duming mode
Ailerons - abnormal operation:
Faulty servo-control falls in dumping mode & adjacent becomes active
Both in dumping mode if both failed
When RAT Extended:
O/B ailerons not used (servo-controls in dumping mode)
On GRD sys depressurized, ailerons droop due to their weight
MLA Maneuver Load Alleviation:
Reduces structural loads on the outer wing surfaces
Reduces the bending moment of the wing
Raises ailerons symmetrically and spoilers 4-6
