Cantares
Todo pasa y todo queda,
pero lo nuestro es pasar,
pasar haciendo caminos,
caminos sobre el mar.

Nunca persequ la gloria,

ni dejar en la memoria
de los hombres mi cancin;
yo amo los mundos sutiles,
ingrvidos y gentiles,
como pompas de jabn.

Me gusta verlos pintarse

de sol y grana, volar
bajo el cielo azul, temblar
sbitamente y quebrarse...

Nunca persegu la gloria.

Caminante, son tus huellas

el camino y nada ms;
caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.

Al andar se hace camino

y al volver la vista atrs
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.

Caminante no hay camino

sino estelas en la mar...

Singings
Everything passes and everything
remains, but ours is to pass,
to pass by making roads, roads over the sea.

Never did I persevere in glory,

nor leave my song in the memory of men;
I love the subtle, weightless and gentle worlds,
like soap bubbles.

I like to see them paint themselves of sun and grana, to fly under the blue sky,
to shake suddenly and to break ...

I never pursued the glory.

Walker your footsteps are the road and nothing else; Walker, there is no path, the
path is made by walking.

When walking is made way and when looking back you can see the path that has
never been stepped again. Hiker there is no road but stelae in the sea ...

Some time ago in that place where today the woods are dressed in thorns heard a
poet's voice shout
"Hiker there is no road, it makes way by walking ...
" Hitting To blow, verse by verse ...

The poet died away from home.

It covers the dust of a neighboring country.
When they left, they saw him crying.
"Walker there is no road,
there is road when walking ...
" Hit by blow, verse by verse ... When the goldfinch can not sing.
When the poet is a pilgrim, when it does us no good to pray.
"Walker there is no road, there is road when walking ..."
Hit by stroke, verse by verse.
