This is a set of 26 slides of homophones and other frequently misused words. They are made in PowerPoint so
they can easily be printed. I post one tricky words of the week slide in my classroom each week. I go over them
on Monday and then review each day. I give extra credit if a student uses the pair of words correctly in a
classwork or homework sometime during the week. My students love to find ways to use the words when
answering a question aloud in class. By the end of the year, the will have mastered 26 of the most frequently
misused words for 3rd-7th grade.
