Nickel Aluminum Bronze
Property:is
available in rod, tube, and
plate formsProperties : Nickel aluminum
bronzes contain 5 to 11 percent aluminum,
as well as additions of iron and nickel for
strength. Increasing the aluminum content
of bronze results in higher strength. These
nickel aluminum bronze alloys are used for
bushings, bearings, wear plates, and
hydraulic valve components. Nickel
aluminum
Application: various types of nickel
aluminum bronze alloys are a popular
choice for industrial applications such as
landing gear bushings and bearings for
the aerospace industry, propeller hubs,
wear rings, and hardware for the marine
industry, a piping for vertical pump
columns, firefighting and fire suppression
systems, and seawater lift pumps for the
oil and gas industry, hydraulic bushings
for earth moving equipment.
Silicon Aluminum Bronze
Properties: Silicon aluminum bronze
combines the self-lubricity of the silicon
with the higher mechanical properties of
aluminum bronze. It is sometimes used in
place of C63000 nickel aluminum bronze
where specifications permit. C64200 silicon
aluminum bronze is free-machining and has
good anti-galling and anti-seizing
properties.
Applications: Popular applications for
silicon aluminum bronze are landing gear
parts, strut bushings, rock bit bearing
bushings, valve guides, safety belt
assemblies, pole line hardware, valve and
pump components, cams, hooks, forged
machined components, and many more.
Industries such as aerospace, oil and gas,
automotive, electrical, marine, and others
all utilize silicon aluminum bronze.
Phosphor Bronze
Properties: Good wearing quality
High resistance to fatigue
Good corrosion resistance
Easily casted, forged, drawn, and cold
rolled
Applications: Phosphor bronze alloys are
primarily used for electrical products
because they have superb spring qualities,
high fatigue resistance, excellent
formability, and high corrosion resistance.
The addition of tin increases the corrosion
resistance and strength of the alloy.
Nickel Silver Bronze
Properties: Nickel silver bronze are alloys
that contain copper, tin, lead, nickel, and
zinc. Nickel silver bronze has low to
moderate strength and good corrosion
resistance and are named for their silvery
luster.
Applications:They are used in the food and
beverage handling equipment, decorative
hardware, electroplated table ware, optical
and photographic equipment and musical
instruments.
Zinc
Zinc: is a chemical element with the symbol Zn
and atomic number 30. It is the first element in
group 12 of the periodic table. In some respects
zinc is chemically similar to magnesium: both
elements exhibit only one normal oxidation state
(+2), and the Zn2+ and Mg2+ ions are of similar
size. Zinc is the 24th most abundant element in
Earth's crust and has five stable isotopes

Applications;
Major applications of zinc include ;
Galvanizing (55%)
Brass and bronze (16%)
Other alloys (21%)
Miscellaneous (8%)
Common Alloys of zinc
Brass:3-45% Zn by weight. Used in musical
instruments, valves, and hardware.
Nickel silver:20% Zn by weight. Used for its
shiny silver appearance in jewelry, silverware,
model train tracks and musical instruments.
Zinc diecasting alloys:>78% by weight. Usually
contain small amounts (less than a few percent) of
Pb, Sn, Cu, Al and Mg to improve diecasting
characteristics and mechanical properties. Used to
make small intricate shapes and suitable for
moving parts in machines. The cheapest of these
alloys are referred to as pot metaland serve as
inexpensive replacements for steel.
Applications:
While primarily used to galvanize steel and iron in
structural applications, zinc can also be found in
a wide range of alloys that are used to produce
everything from automobile parts to golf clubs.
Zinc applications can be broken down into five
general groups based upon the method and form
of use:
Zinc Galvanizing
Brass
Zinc Die Casting Alloys
Chemicals
