Combined Clutch Control Mechanism

This document describes a combined clutch and accelerator control system for motorbikes. Normally the clutch and accelerator are controlled separately. The proposed system combines the controls so that raising the accelerator engages the clutch using additional gears and rods connected to both controls. When the accelerator is raised, it causes a rod connected to the clutch to engage the clutch plate, allowing power transmission from the engine to the drive shaft.

ABSTRACT

Usually, in bikes accelerator and clutch are


separately controlled by us.
A clutch is a mechanical device that
engages and disengages power
transmission especially from driving to
driven shaft.
Accelerator is connected to fuel opening, so
when the cable is pulled, more fuel is
pumped and the engine burns more fuel to
go faster.

Clutch work is always done inversely,


depending on the accelerator to a certain
limit.
Now our task is,
* To combine the work of clutch to the
control of accelerator with additional gears.
By doing this process, control of clutch is
simultaneously done by accelerator.

METHODOLOGY

Here two rods and a spring is used.


In this, the accelerator is normal and the
clutch plate is fully disengaged so that no
power transmission will be there from
engine to driving shaft.
In this, the accelerator is raised upto a
certain level so that the clutch is engaged
fully so that power transmission will be
happening from engine to driving shaft.

EXISTING SYSTEM

When the clutch lever is pressed the


clutch plate disengages and the gear is
transmitted.
The clutch lever is connected to the clutch
plate with the help of springs.
When the clutch lever is pressed the
spring does the action and the gear can
be changed.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

Instead of the existing system, we are


using two rods and springs.
The rod on the right side is connected to
the accelerator wire and the other end to
the throttle valve.
A component like a hockey bat is kept at
the middle to move the rod up and down.
The hockey bat component is connected
with the clutch wire at the left side.
