GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
since 1936.
I have always held the religion of MUHAMMAD in high
estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only
religion, which appears to me to possess an assimilating
capacity to the changing phase of existence, which can
itself be acceptable to every age.
GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
I have studied him - the wonderful man and (in my
opinion from being an anti-Christ), he must be called
the Savior ( منقذ- )مخلصof Humanity.“من وجهة نظر

I have prophesied( ) تكهن –تنبـأabout the faith of
MUHAMMAD that it would be acceptable to the Europe of
tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe

Europe.
If any religion had the chance of ruling over England, nay
Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam.

He was born in Arabia in the year 570, started his
mission of preaching ( )يبشرthe religion of Truth,

and departed from this world at the age of sixty-three.
During this short period (23 years) of his Prophet

himself alone ( Muhammad PBUH) or in the future.

The world has had its share of great personalities.
But these were one-sided figures who
distinguished themselves in but one or two fields,
such as religious thought or military leadership.
The lives and teachings of these great
personalities of the world are shrouded(- تحجب

. There is so much speculation( تفكر- )تأملabout the
time and place of their birth, the mode and style of
their life, the nature and detail of their teachings
and the degree and measure of their success or
failure that it is impossible for humanity to
reconstruct accurately the lives and teachings of
that man (MUHAMMAD, PBUH).
PROFESSOR HURGRONJE,
“The league( ) تحالفof nations founded by the prophet

nation in less than two decades….A silent great soul,
one of that who cannot but be earnest (جاد – غير
)هازل. He was to kindle the world, the world’s Maker
had ordered so."
Nothing more than a human being
MUHAMMAD (pbuh) was nothing more or less
than a human being. But he was a man with a
noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the
submission to ONE and ONLY GOD and to teach
them the way to become ideal and upright living
based on the commands of God (ALLAH).
He described himself many times as, 'A Servant &
Messenger of God,' and so indeed all actions of his
proclaimed ( يعلن- )يصرحwas.
Nothing more than a human being
The world has not hesitated to raise to divinity()اللوهــبة, individuals
whose lives and missions have been lost in legend ()أسطورة.
Historically speaking, none of these legends achieved even a
fraction of what MUHAMMAD (pbuh) accomplished. All his striving
( جهاد- )كفاحwas for the sole purpose of uniting mankind for the
worship ( العبادة- )السجودto One God (ALLAH) on the codes of moral
excellence.
Nothing more than a human being
MUHAMMAD (peace be up on him) accomplished so much
in such diverse fields of human thought and behavior in the
fullest blaze( ) ناصعof human history.
Every detail of his private life and public utterances()تعبير
has been accurately documented and faithfully preserved to
our day.
The authenticities of the record so preserved are

but also even by his prejudiced critics()النقاد المجحفين.
MAHATMA GANDHI,
says in ‘Young India’..
"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today's undisputed ( )غير متنازع عليهsway ()نفوذover the hearts of
millions of mankind..
I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the
scheme of life. It was the utter ( )مطلقrigid simplicity of the Prophet , the respect regard for ledges(-تعهدات

SAROJINI NAIDU, the
famous Indian poetess says
since 1918…
"It was the first religion that preached and
practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the
call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are
gathered together, the democracy of Islam is
embodied( يجسد- )يشملfive times a day when the
peasant( قروى- )فلحand king kneel( )يركعside by
side and proclaim()يعلن: 'God Alone is Great'...
(S.NAIDU, IDEALS OF ISLAM, VIDE SPEECHES & WRITINGS, MADRAS, 1918)
ANNIE BESANT
in The Life & Teaching of
MUHAMMAD says
"It is impossible for anyone who studies the life &
character of the great Prophet of Arabia, …., to feel
anything but
reverence( )الوقارfor that mighty ()قوىProphet, one of the
great messengers of the Supreme. Although in what I
put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar
to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new
way of admiration()أعجاب, a new sense of reverence for
that mighty Arabian teacher."
Today after a lapse of fourteen centuries, the
life and teachings of MUHAMMAD (pbuh) have
survived without the slightest loss, alteration or
interpolation. They offer the same undying
hope for treating mankind's many ills, which
they did when he was alive.
This is not a claim of MUHAMMAD’S (pbuh)
followers but also the inescapable conclusion
forced upon by a critical and unbiased history.
MUHAMMAD (pbuh) was a teacher, a social
reformer, a moral guide, an administrative
colossus()عملق, a faithful friend, a wonderful
companion, a devoted husband, a loving father -
all in one.
No other man in history ever excelled or equaled
him in any of these different aspects of life - but it
was only for the selfless personality of
MUHAMMAD (pbuh) to achieve such incredible
perfections.
LANE-POOLE
in 'Speeches and Table Talk of
the Prophet’
He was the most faithful protector of those he protected,
the sweetest and most agreeable in conversation. Those
who saw him were suddenly filled with reverence; those
who came near him loved him; they who described him
would say, "I have never seen his like either before or
after." He was of great taciturnity()صموت, but when he
spoke it was with emphasis and deliberation()تروى, and
no one could forget what he said...
WASHINGTON IRVING,
His military triumphs awakened no pride( )كبرياءnor
vain( )باطلglory as they would have done. They
had not been effected by selfish purposes. In the
time of his greatest power he maintained the same
simplicity of manner and appearance as in the
days of his adversity. So far from affecting regal
()ملكىstate, he was displeased if, on entering a
room, any unusual testimonial of respect was
shown to him.
PROF. JULES MASSERMAN
of USA Psychiatric Association :
"People like Pasteur and Salk are leaders in the
first sense. People like Gandhi and Confucius, on
one hand, and Alexander, Caesar and Hitler on the
other, are leaders in the second and perhaps the
third sense. Jesus and Buddha belong in the third
category alone. Perhaps the greatest leader of all
times was MUHAMMAD, who combined all three
functions. To a lesser degree, Moses did the
same."
Now please relax for a moment …
The least YOU could do as a thinking and
concerned human being is to stop for moment and
ask yourself: Could these statements sounding so
extraordinary and revolutionary be really true?
And supposing they really are true and you did not
know this man MUHAMMED (pbuh) or hear about
him, isn't it time you responded to this tremendous
challenge and put in some effort to know him?
It will cost you nothing but it may prove
to be the beginning of a completely new
era in ones life, even of a Muslim!
