Training and development is one of the very important process in any organization.

Training is the act of increasing the knowledge and skill of an employee for doing a particular job. Development is a related process. It covers not only those activities, which improve job performance, but also those, which bring about growth of the personality.

This project has been done in Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd on the topic Study of Training and Development and Analysis of Induction Feedback at BHEL. The study helped to understand the training and development process in the organization as well as to effectively analyze induction process. An online form of feedback was filled by 653 new Engineers/Executives which was to be calculated.

Analysis
Needs are recognized. Training programmes are designed and developed. Number of faculties as well number of participants are decided. The programme is then conducted. After conductance of the programme, all the participants are required to fill a feedback form(either online or on paper) to find out whether the programme was fruitful or not.

Analysis (Part 2)
Another part of the project talks about Induction feedback. Feedback of 653, newly joined Engineers was supposed to be calculated(overall as well as unit wise) in order to find of the result of the training programme.

Conclusion
ETs Training had been successful at all the units of BHEL. The overall objective of ET training has been met successfully as almost 70% of ETs have found the ET Training meet its objectives.

Majority of ETs (321 out of 653) have liked the On-the-Learning Module which shows that they hardworking and love to take on more resposinsibility on their job.

Mentoring Scheme is implemented successfully at all units.

Recommendations
Training on software prevailing in industries should be enhanced.
Department specific training should be given to the trainees. Batch size should be reduced to increase interaction during the training.
