HPE – Career Preview Program (CPP-3) FY26
1. Objective of the Program
• Deeper early engagement with colleges to build industry ready engineers on HPE
technologies.
• Build brand visibility and foster long-term relationships with universities.
• Mentor students by exposing them to real-world technologies and initiatives.
• Hiring & nurturing the right talent for pre-placement offers.
2. Student Selection Criteria
• Students from 5th / 6th Semester are selected for this program.
• Minimum eligibility criteria:
o All computer science and related branches
o 8.5 CGPA in previous all years
o At least 80% in 10th & 12th standard
• College is requested to filter the students based on above mentioned criteria and
share the short-list in requested format with HPE.
3. CPP Selection Test – Process
• HPE will select the students from the shortlist provided by the college.
• This select list of students will go through a CPP selection test conducted online by
HPE.
• College to make sure that students write the test from the college campus under
supervision.
• Final selection of students will be based on test results.
• HPE will evaluate and send out the select list to college.
4. CPP Selection Test – Do’s and Don’ts for Students
• Students shouldn't exit test by mistake; they will not be allowed again as their license
is tied with test instance.
• Student should be told that plagiarism checks are strictly imposed so that they need
to turn on video, shouldn't move around or switch browsers.
• Once timeout, the test is terminated. They should time their response.
5. Program Duration and Structure
• The duration of this program around 6 months.
• Selected students will be divided into small groups (e.g. 5 students per group).
• HPE will provide the certificate after successfully completion of project.
6. Project Selection and Mentoring
• HPE would recommend a project to be developed by students.
• HPE will brief about the project details and expected outcome to students and
college staff in person at the University or virtual discussion.
• University staff who are ready to volunteer will play a role of mentors.
• HPE will identify group of people who will provide required consultations (say 30
mins in every 15 days on need basis).
• HPE will provide few sessions to students to evangelize the concepts that are
relevant to the industry / HPE.
• Project work & progress will be reviewed on a regular basis by mentors of respective
Universities and HPE.
• Project work and progress will be reviewed periodically based on agreed milestones
(e.g. Initial, mid-term and final).
• Students need to present their work to HPE on the final day which may coincide with
the HPE day celebration within allotted time at colleges.
7. Selection Criteria for Hiring
• Mentors / Consultants (from college & HPE) should provide list of final students and
feedback to interview panel based on their experience with students’ work and final
presentation.
• Students will be exempted from written test.
• Independent interview panel should interview students to assess the criteria for
preplacement offers.
• This interview should be slightly more stringent than the normal placement
interview.
8. Commitment from College
• Students participating in HPE Career Preview Program engagement should join HPE,
if selected.

10. Continuous Activities (throughout the journey):
• Technical sessions and various other engagements
• Meetings at regular cadence among HPE mentors, university mentors, and students
• Sync-ups with UR Champs, core team, mentors, and TA team
11. After the completion of Project:
• HPE will come out with a list of students eligible for Interviews based on the feedback
from HPE mentors.
• The interviews will be tentatively scheduled during October 2026.
• Selected students will join as interns from February 2027 (Tentative) with a stipend of
Rs. 40,000 (Tentative).
• After the completion of Internship and your degree, based on performance you will be
extended a full time offer at HPE with a package of Rs. 17.5 LPA (Tentative).
