Global warming is one of the greatest challenges of our time. It is the increase in the average
temperature of the Earth’s surface due to the excessive concentration of greenhouse gases.
These gases—carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide—trap the sun’s heat and cause
climatic changes. Melting glaciers, rising sea levels, and extreme weather conditions are all
results of this phenomenon. To combat it, nations must reduce carbon emissions, promote
renewable energy, and adopt sustainable living practices.
