If you have any installationquestionspleaseaskusbeforestarting. Sometimesasmalldeviationincolorofthetilesoccursbetweentilesinthesameordifferentpacks.Thisis notadefectofthematerialandisactuallydesignedtoincreasethedecorativebeautyofthecompletedroof.In ordertoreducecolourdifferenceduringinstallationofthetiles,itisrecommendedtomixtilesfrompacksat randominordertocreateamixedcoloureffect. Storage: Fullpalletsoftilescannotbestoredoneontopoftheother,otherwisethiscancompressthetilesintosticking tooneanotherbeforeuse.Inordertoavoidshinglesstickingtoeachotherinapacktheyshouldbeprotected from direct sunlight and any directheat source. Eachpackshouldbebent and shaken before opening, this helpstoseparatetheshinglesfromeachother. Itisnotrecommendedtowalkontheroofinhot/sunnyweatherbecausethecovermightbedamaged.Special laddersshouldbeusedforthispurpose. Usageofmaterialsforroofingcover: Each pack of bourne or hexham tiles contains3 m of tile coverage (including overlapping). Eachpackof ridgetilescontains5moftilecoverage(includingoverlapping). Whencalculatingtheamountofmaterialsneededforroofingcoveritisnecessarytoevaluatethequantityof tilesrequireddependingonthecomplexity,degreeofslopeandsizeoftheroof.Pleaseremembertocalculate extratilesrequiredforwastage(between515%extra)asitisalwaysbettertohavetoomanythantoofew tiles.Extrasparetiles,ifstoredcorrectly,canbeusedtorepairanyareasofdamageinthefuture. Installationofbitumenshingles:Initialrow(tilesofridges/cornice):

Ridge/cornicetilesor theusualtiles (with the jagged edgecutoff)areusedfortheinitialrowoftilesalong both the eaves of the roof as well as the pitched corniceatthetop.

Thesiliconfilmshouldberemovedfromtheundersideofthetilepriortoinstallation.

Every tileshouldbenailed to the roof boards with wideheaded galvanized roof tack nails.The numberof nailsdependsonthepitchorslopeofyourroof.Itisveryimportantnottooverhitthenails.Theyshouldbe nailedinsuchawaythattheheadofthenailheadisflushwiththetileandnotbelowthesurface.Theheadof thenailshouldnotpuncturethesurfaceoftheshingletile.

The nails are put 2 3 cm from the edge of the tile. Pictureontheleftindicatethenumberofnailsneededand where they should be applied at certain roof angle. The picture shows the topside of the tile, and the dotted line indicatestheplaceoftheadhesivebottomlayer.

Ridge/cornicetilesshouldbecutintothreepartsattheplacesofperforationandlaidinastraightlinewithan overlapof35cm.Theyarefixedwithtwonailsoneachsideoftheslope.

Installation should be performed against the prevailing directionofthewind.

ATTENTION:ifridgecornicetilesareinstalledattheoutsidetemperature lowerthan10Citisrecommendedtobendthemonaheated10cmdiameter tubeinordertoavoidcracks.(Seethepictureontheleft)

Ventilation: Thedurabilityoftheroofconstructionislongeriftheroofhasproperventilation,especiallyovertheusable attic. TilePatterns: PleasemakesurethattheindividualtilesareNOToverlappedtocoverthedarkercoloursection.Pleaserefer to the pictures for the correct spacing of tiles. If you assemble thetiles with a larger overlap than recommendedyouwillnothaveenoughtilestocompleteyourroof.Eurovudasprovidethecorrectquantityof tilesinordertocoveryourroofaccordingtocorrectassembly. Westronglyrecommendtousewideheaded(upwith1519mmlong)nailstofixthebitumentiles. If youaregoing toputthe tilesat lowerthan+15degreesoutsidetemperature,pleasepreheatblacksealing belt zonesoruseextramastics toensurewaterproofing. Inthis casealsorecommend tokeeptiles in warm temperature(inside)for24hoursbeforeinstallation. ThecostofextratilesanddeliverywillbepaidforbythecustomerandnotEurovudasltd. HEXHAMTILESPATTERN
