WHAT TO DO

Voyager Plant Optimization (VPO) is Anheuser-Busch InBev's program to drive a

greater efficiency and standardization in our beer brewing operations and generate
cost savings, while simultaneously improving quality, safety, and the environment.
It also involves a continuous evaluation of our acquisition processes to maximize the
purchasing power, which helps us achieve the best results when we buy a wide range
range of goods and services. Every year, the plants compete to qualify for the program and for the
honor of being the best performing brewery in the company. Every element of the VPO program
is embedded in the company culture, emphasizing the importance of everyone
share objectives, respecting our business integrity standards and principles
main elements that define the culture of our company. Training is a key element for
to consecrate these principles in daily routine.
HOW TO DO IT

All VPO routines and standards are described in a series of VPO manuals. The routines
plant management is well established by shifts, daily, weekly and
monthly. The structures of the organization are carefully designed, with a
team of experts from Pilar de Zone VPO that supports the implementation at all sites. The key
of success is a strong link between the means and the results, which links the inputs with the
outputs. In the SAB model, the strengths were found at the plant level in daily routines.
centered on the operator. The autonomous operations involved operators who
they were responsible for basic maintenance, cleaning, and quality analysis, ensuring control
of fast and effective process. There was a strong focus on the effective resolution of problems of
operator. Finally, maintenance activities were integrated into line functions,
through self-sufficient equipment, to achieve high levels of machine and overall efficiency. VPO
Best of Both has combined the best of both companies, creating a clear process,
standardized and robust to manage our plants across the entire business, which allows us
continuously improve our performance in a sustainable manner.

We always start with our dream and bring it to life for our people. Each plantation has its
own dream, connected and aligned with Zone Supply Dream, but specific to the needs
from the plant. The Dream offers a good challenge or extension for the installation, with some
key performance indicators that are tangible, measurable, and achievable over 3-5 years.

One example of Best of Both is the operator's workstation, which is a practice

recommended that originated in SAB. The operator's workstation is a designed space
deliberately within or adjacent to the immediate work area of an operator. It includes all
the tools that an operator needs to perform their function effectively and
allows operators to be motivated, committed, and trained to improve the
performance.

Another example of Best-of Both in breweries is the equipment room. This is a very
close to the production area where the team can meet to share and analyze the
necessary information for the effective resolution of problems. Continuous improvement in both the
process as in the key performance indicators.
