FINISHED MEASUREMENTS YARN


Foot circumference = 12in/30cm Aran weight yarn, approximately 180-230 yards
Foot length = 8in/20cm, easily adjusted per stocking
Leg length = 12in/30cm, easily adjusted Shown in: Patons SWS Soy Wool Solids

ABBREVIATIONS
BC2 = Slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in back, knit next stitch, knit 1 stitch from cable needle
BC2p = Slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in back, knit next stitch, purl 1 stitch from cable needle
FC2 = Slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in front, knit next stitch, knit 1 stitch from cable needle
FC2p = Slip 1 stitch to cable needle, hold in front, purl next stitch, knit 1 stitch from cable needle
FC4 = Slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold in front, knit next 2 stitches, knit 2 stitches from cable
needle
k2tog = knit next 2 stitches together – 1 stitch decreased
k3tog = knit next 3 stitches together – 2 stitches decreased
tog = together
w&t = wrap & turn; on the knit side, slip next stitch purlwise, bring yarn to front, return slipped stitch to
left needle, turn to work back in opposite direction; on the purl side, slip next stitch purlwise, bring
yarn to back, return slipped stitch to left needle, turn to work back in opposite direction.

NOTES
The same basic template is used for all 3 stockings,
but with different stitch patterns for the leg and foot.
Feel free to substitute your own favorite stitch
pattern, as long as it divides evenly into 72 stitches.

LATTICE STITCH PATTERN


Round 1: [K1, p6, k1] to end.
Round 2: K1, [p6, FC2] to last 7 sts, p6, FC2
with last st of this round and first st of next
round.
Round 3: First st has already been worked,
p6, k1, [k1, p6, k1] to end.
Round 4: [FC2, p4, BC2] to end.
Round 5: [P1, k1, p4, k1, p1] to end.
Round 6: [P1, FC2, p2, BC2, p1] to end.
Round 7: [P2, k1, p2, k1, p2] to end.
Round 8: [P2, FC2, BC2, p2] to end.
Round 9: [P3, k2, p3] to end.

CHEVRON STITCH PATTERN


Round 1: [K1 with color B, k5 with color A] to end.
Round 2: [K2 with color B, k3 with color A, k1 with

Round 4: K with color B.
Round 5: [K1 with color A, k5 with color B] to end.
