Origin and Development
• The NFPA Standards Council, in 1996
approved the establishment of a Committee
Technical on Professional Qualifications
for Members of Industrial Brigades of
Fires.
• It was approved in May 2001.
Scope
• Identify the minimum requirements of
performance of work necessary for
to carry out the tasks of a person who is
member of an industrial brigade of
fires.
Object
• Specify the minimum requirements of
performance of work for members of
industrial fire brigades.
(described in NFPA 600)
Applicability
• Does not restrict the requirements for others
jurisdictions.
