Using the notebook for the first time

Open the Start Menu and search for ‘Acer documents’ for important health and safety information.

To reduce the possibility of heat-related injuries or of overheating the computer, do not place the computer directly on your lap or obstruct the
computer air vents. Use the computer only on a hard, flat surface. Do not allow another hard surface, such as an adjoining optional printer, or a soft
surface, such as pillows or rugs or clothing, to block airflow. Also, do not allow the AC adapter to come into contact with the skin or a soft surface, such
as pillows or rugs or clothing, during operation. Wait one-half hour after switch off before handling hot parts.
Connect to the internet
If using a wireless LAN:
Select the wireless icon at the lower-right corner of the screen
and you will see the available wireless networks. Select a Wi-Fi
network and enter the security key if required.
If using a LAN:
Connect a network cable to the Ethernet (RJ-45) port.
To connect to a wired network, please use a USB-to-LAN
converter cable (optional).
