Definition:
Value Added Courses are non-credit courses offered by colleges/universities to enhance
the employability, soft skills, technical expertise, or entrepreneurial capabilities of
students beyond their regular curriculum.
Purpose in NAAC Context:
• Enrich student knowledge and skills.
• Bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
• Improve student employability and practical competencies.
• Contribute positively to NAAC Criterion 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 (Curriculum enrichment
and feedback).
Feature Description
