Quarter 3 – Mathematics 10
GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS
Teacher: Mrs. Jemmilyn V. Lopez

Performance Task: Capturing Permutations and/or Combinations in Real Life

The learner demonstrates understanding of the Fundamental Counting Principle,
Learning Target: permutations, and combinations and applies these concepts to real-life situations. (CG
Code: M10SP-IIIc-d-1)
Research-Based Students will explore authentic contexts where permutation and combination are applied,
Application: reinforcing conceptual understanding through experiential learning and reflection.
Camera or smartphone for taking pictures, Printed photo(s), Pen and paper for writing
Materials Needed:
reflection, and Booth Fair map or list of booths

GOAL: Students will apply the concepts of permutation and combination by selecting booths at the
Values Month Booth Fair and capturing their participation through photos.

ROLE: Students will apply the concepts of permutation and combination by selecting booths at the
Values Month Booth Fair and capturing their participation through photos.

AUDIENCE: Your classmates, teacher, and school community will view your work as evidence of
applying math concepts in authentic contexts.

SITUATION: On November 24–25, 2025, during the Values Month Booth Fair, you will choose booths
that best illustrate permutation or combination (e.g., choosing booths, arranging friends for a photo).
You will take pictures of yourself participating in these booths.

PRODUCT/PERFORMANCE: Submit:
1. Printed photo(s) of you at the booth(s).
2. A short paragraph (5–7 sentences) explaining:
o Which concept (permutation or combination) applies.
o How the situation demonstrates the concept.
o Your reflection on its real-life application.

STANDARDS: Prepare the PETA Scoring Sheet where your output will be graded based on the rubrics below.
