Re: REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 SCHOOL CANDIDATES EXAMINATIONS


The Liberia National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is pleased to inform
Administrators of schools accredited by the Ministry of Education that the registration period for
the 2026 Examinations for School Candidates (WASSCE, Liberia Junior High School Certificate
Examination, Liberia Primary School Certificate Examination, and Liberia National Assessment Test)
administered by WAEC will commence on Monday, September 29, 2025 and end
on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

1. Requirements for Registration

1. Current official school permit from the Ministry of Education;


2. Tax certificate from the Liberia Revenue Authority (Applicable to Private Schools only);
and
3. Original copy of bank deposit slip.

2. Fees

1. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, 2026 will
be administered to all 12th Graders in the Republic of Liberia whose institutions have satisfied
the Requirements for Registration. No school administrator or principal in this category should
collect examination and mathematical set fees from candidates throughout Liberia as the Government
of Liberia underwrites the cost for all candidates.

2. The Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LJHSCE)

a. The Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination (LJHSCE) is meant for all 9th Graders
in the Republic of Liberia. The examination fees for students enrolled in public schools will be
paid by the Government of Liberia.
b. To all administrators of Private Schools, the fee remains LD$5,000.00 per candidate. The
Secretariat will not provide any Mathematical Set to candidates of Grade 9 for the 2026
examination. School authorities are hereby requested not to collect more than LD$5,000.00 per
candidate.

3. The Liberia Primary School Certificate Examination (LPSCE)

The Liberia Primary School Certificate Examination (LPSCE) is opened to all 6th Graders in the
Republic of Liberia. The fee for the examination is LD$2,000.00 per candidate for students in both
public and private schools. The Government of Liberia does not pay the examination fees for students
at this level. All fees for candidates can be paid into any of the Council’s accounts.

4. The Liberia National Assessment Test (LNAT)

The Liberia National Assessment Test (LNAT) is opened to all 3 rd Graders in the Republic of Liberia.
The fee for the test is LD$1,000.00 per candidate. The Government of Liberia does not pay the
examination fees for students at this level. All fees for candidates in both public and private schools
can be paid to any of the Council’s accounts.

3. Locations for the Payment of Fees

1. All schools in Montserrado County are directed to make their payments only at Eco Bank
Liberia;
2. Schools in Grand Cape Mount, Bomi and Gbarpolu Counties are to deposit their fees at SIB
Bank in Tubmanburg or LBDI Bank in Gbah;
3. All payments for other counties should be made at any of the below listed banks:

4. Registration Procedures for WASSCE

School Administrators are not to collect any money from 12th graders for the purpose of registering
them for the examination. Instead, the students are to use their mobile phones to provide their biodata,
photos and subjects for the examination. School administrators are hereby directed to provide the URL
below to their 12th graders for this exercise:

The above link will take the candidates to the school registration site, and each school is to provide
their school code as their user name and then give their school’s registration password to the students
to enable them to provide their biodata, photos and subjects using their mobile phones.

All school authorities are strongly encouraged to change their passwords on a regular basis.

WAEC wishes to encourage all schools with 12 th grade to allow their students to complete the
provision of their biodata, photos and subjects using their mobile phones no later than October 31,
2025. This
timeline will allow the school ample time to provide the school grades (Continuous Assessment Scores
– CASS) for their students and confirm their entry from November 1 to 30, 2025

5. Refund Policy

The Management of WAEC wishes to emphasize that there will be absolutely NO refund of fees paid
into any of its Accounts because of School Administrators/Principals’ failure to complete
the registration process online and on time.
Once again, the Secretariat of WAEC wishes to emphasize that no money should be collected from
students in the 12th grade in all schools as well as students in the 9 th grade in public schools as their
examination fees will be paid by the Government of Liberia.
All school authorities are hereby encouraged to adhere to the December 31, 2025 deadline.

THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO EXTENSION OF THE REGISTRATION PERIOD.
