PHOTO AND PROFESSIONS TEST – BBT

The Photo and Professions Test - BBT is a projective method for evaluating aptitudes.
professionals that can be applied to individuals from the age of 12, with time of
free application. The BBT - (acronym for the German Berufsbildertest) was created by Martin Achtnich
(1918 - 1996), Swiss psychologist, philosopher, and educator, with theoretical basis in Leopold Szondi from whom
was a disciple. The test was developed in Switzerland in 1961 and published only in 1978, after
sixteen years of studies and research in the field of career guidance, the same

professional areas and personnel development. Its Brazilian version was published in 1991
by André Jacquemin, who conducted studies that validated the accuracy of the test in Brazil.

The test follows the theoretical basis of Leopold Szondi (1893 - 1986), a Medical Psychopathologist and
Hungarian psychoanalyst, who believed that the environment has the power to shape man, but that the
genetic inheritance and drive factors will determine to what extent the individual will be shaped by

through the hidden genetic inheritances within the subject itself.

Based on this theoretical foundation, Martin Achtnich created the BBT test determining eight
factorial tendencies of inclination taken from Szondi's theory. For the author, the "vocation" for
acting in any professional field will require not only skills and training but also an inclination towards it
individual for the completion of the task, in conjunction with their personal interests and needs,
thus these activities will be humanized and socialized in their historical, social, and
cultural.

The original BBT featured 96 black and white photographs in 10 cm by 10 cm format.

Inclination factors presented in the test:

W - Tenderness, femininity, devotion.

K -Strength, physical strength, hardness, stubbornness, aggression.

Social sense, with two trends:

Sh - availability to help, do good, heal, participate.
Being - energy, courage, dynamism, need for movement and action.

Z - Need to show, to represent, aesthetics.

V - Understanding, reason, logic, need for knowledge, clarity, rationalization, limitation

and determination.

G -Spirit, inspiration, creative imagination, creativity, idea, intuition, tendency towards expansion.

M - Matter, substance, relation to possession (anality).

O -Orality, with two trends:

Or - need to speak, communication, kindness,
On - relation with food, eating.

The subject's inclinations will emerge from the presentation of the 112 photographs (cards)
what composes the test, which will be presented by the administrator, after being analyzed by the individual
he should classify them according to his strictly personal criteria as:

As they present positive aspects to him;
As they present negative aspects;
And they are neutral to you.

The photos that positively attract the subject are grouped and then commented on by
