SCHEME OF SALT ANALYSIS

7.Confirmatory Test For Sr2+


A. Ammonium Sulphate White crystalline ppt. Presence of Sr2+ confirmed

ammonium sulphate solution NH4+

B. Flame Test: - A little of the Crimson Red Presence of Sr2+ confirmed

8.Confirmatory Test For Ca2+
A. Ammonium Oxalate Test: White ppt Presence of Ca2+ confirmed.
-To the salt solution add Ca2+ +(NH4)2C2O4→CaC2O4↓+
ammonium oxalate solution NH4+

B. Potassium chromate test: - No ppt formed Presence of Ca2+ confirmed.
