SCRIPT NARRATIVE TEXT

ALADDIN
GROUP 4 2IGL01

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away called Agrabah, there lived a young boy
named Aladdin. He lived on the outskirts of the city with his mother. Every morning,
his mother would go to the market to sell goods to support their family. Unlike his
mother, Aladdin was a thief, stealing from others to survive. He was even nicknamed
"the street rat" by the people.

(Aladdin's mother is arranging her merchandise in a small stall)

Aladdin's mother: (Sighs) I hope it sells today. I need money for dinner tonight.

Aladdin: (Aladdin appears from the crowd, carrying some fruit that looks stolen) Mom, this is
for us.

Aladdin's Mother: (Angry) Aladdin! Where did you get this from?

Aladdin: From the next door neighbor. Don't worry, mom. He wouldn't know.

Aladdin's mother: (Takes the fruit, then throws it) Give this back now! You've done this
too many times.

Aladdin: (Frowning) But, mom…

Aladdin's mother: (Interrupting Aladdin's words) No buts! You have embarrassed me. Look!
all people have started to stay away from our stall.

(Some people whispered when they saw them)

First person: That's him, the street rat.

Second person: Be careful with your things when you're near him.

Aladdin's mother: (Hugging Aladdin) I know we are in difficult situation, but you have to
change. Stealing is not a good thing to do. We will try to earn money with the right way.

(Aladdin pretends to nod)

(Next day, he lies to his mom and about gets ready to carry out his action as usual, but
suddenly a young man approaches him.)
Mysterious Youth: Hi, kid. You look like you're looking for something.

Aladdin: (Surprised) Uh, who are you?

Mysterious Young Man: Just call me Jafar. I have an interesting offer for you.

Aladdin: Offer? What's that?

Jafar: I can make you very rich. How about we work together?

Aladdin: (His eyes sparkle) Really? How to?

Jafar: Secret. But I guarantee, you won't regret it.

(Aladdin is tempted by Jafar's offer. Without thinking, he agreed to Jafar's invitation.)

Aladdin: OK, I'm coming!

(The next day, Aladdin and Jafar left Agrabah. During the journey, Aladdin begins to feel
something strange about Jafar.)

Aladdin: Jafar, who are you actually?

Jafar: (Laughs mysteriously) Me? I'm just a traveler looking for adventure.

(Suddenly, Jafar stops in the middle of the road and takes out a small bottle.)

Jafar: Look at this! This is a magic powder. (Jafar then sprinkles the magic powder on the
ground)

Aladdin: (Surprised) What are you doing?

(Instantly, thick black smoke rose from the ground.)

Aladdin: (Covering his nose) Jafar, what is this?

Jafar: (Evil laugh) This is just the beginning, Aladdin. Our adventure has just begun.

(The black smoke slowly dissipates, revealing a large cave sparkling with gold and jewels.)
Jafar: (Pointing into the cave) Look, Aladdin! It's full of treasures inside. Take as much as
you want. But remember, you have to give me the teapot.

Aladdin: (Wide-eyed) Wow, that's a lot! But, where is the teapot that you mean?

Jafar: The teapot is in there. Look well.

(Aladdin entered the cave. He walked among piles of gold and jewelry. After searching for a
long time, he finally found the teapot that Jafar was referring to.)

Aladdin: (Shouting) Jafar! I've found the teapot!

Jafar: (From outside the cave) Good! Now give it to me!

Aladdin: But, how do I get out of here?

Jafar: Don't worry, I'll help you. But give me the teapot first.

(Aladdin hesitated. He felt that something was wrong with Jafar.)

Aladdin: (In his heart) I have to be careful. Maybe he will trick me.

Jafar: (In a threatening tone) Hurry, Aladdin! Don't waste my time!

(Aladdin sits on the cave floor, contemplating.)

Aladdin: (Muttering) Why does he want that teapot so much? This much gold and jewelry
alone did not interest him.

(Jafar, who felt his patience running out, sprinkled the magic powder again.)

Jafar: That's enough! If you won't give me the teapot, then you will be trapped here forever!

(A large rock closes the cave door.)

Aladdin: (Screaming hysterically) Help! Help!

(After hours of trying to get out, Aladdin gave up and sat in the corner of the cave. His
eyes fell on the old teapot he had found earlier. He rubbed the teapot to remove the dust.)

Aladdin: (Muttering) Maybe there's something special about this teapot.

(Suddenly, smoke rises from the teapot and a very large and shiny genie appears.)

Genie : (booming voice) Greetings, Master! I am the Genie of the Lamp! You have freed me,
and I shall grant you three wishes! What will your first wish be?

Aladdin : (jumping back, startled) Wh-What?! Who—what are you?!

Genie: (grinning) I’m a genie, of course! And you, my friend, are my new master. So, what’ll
it be? Riches? Power? Just say the word!

Aladdin: (nervously) This can’t be real... a genie? You’re joking, right?

Genie: (laughing) Oh, I assure you, it’s very real. Now, come on! Don’t be shy—make your
wish!

Aladdin: (hesitant) Uh... okay. If this is real, then... I wish to be taken back home!

Genie: (snapping his fingers) Done! Hold on tight!

(In an instant, Aladdin is whisked away in a swirl of magic. The next moment, he’s standing
in his house.)

Aladdin: (looking around in shock) I... I’m back home! It really worked!

(On the other side, in a kingdom called Agrabah there lived a princess named Jasmine. She
has a younger sister, who is the second child of the Sultan of Agrabah. One day they were
discussing Jasmine's match with a prince who had been arranged by the Sultan of Agrabah.)

Jasmine: (sighing) Father, must we really go through with this? I don’t want to marry
someone just because of their status.

Sultan: (firmly) Jasmine, it’s tradition. You know how important it is for the kingdom.

Jasmine: (frustrated) I know, but I feel trapped. I want to find true love, not just marry a
prince to fulfill a duty.
Sultan: (concerned) You’re not just thinking of yourself. Your choices affect the future of
Agrabah.

Jasmine: (pleading) But why can’t I choose for myself? Why must I follow these rules?

Sultan: (softening) I understand your feelings, but the traditions have been in place for
generations. It’s a responsibility that comes with being a princess.

(Enter Jasmine’s younger sister, who is visibly upset.)

Jasmine’s Sister: (sadly) Jasmine, why do you always have to make things so difficult?
Father is just trying to secure our future.

Jasmine:(concerned) It’s not about making things difficult. It’s about wanting to make my
own choices.

Jasmine’s Sister: (sighing) I know you want freedom, but I’ve always done what Father
wanted. It’s just how things are.

Jasmine: (gently) I know you do, and I appreciate that. But I can’t live my life just to please
others. I need to find my own path.

Jasmine’s Sister: (thoughtful) I suppose... I just wish things were easier.

Jasmine: (reassuringly) We’ll figure it out. I promise. I just need you to understand why this
is so important to me.

Jasmine’s Sister: (nodding) I do understand. I hope you find what you’re looking for,
Jasmine.

(One day, Jasmine decided to escape from the palace and see how ordinary people lived
outside the palace walls. Jasmine is wandering around the market full of curiosity. His eyes
widened at the poverty and misery of his people.)

Jasmine: (Whispering to herself) I never expected life outside the palace to be this hard.

(Jasmine saw a shiny apple and without thinking, she took it.)

Trader: Hey, wait! That's my apple! Return it!

(Jasmine was surprised. She is not used to situations like this.)

Jasmine: But... I just want…

Trader: (Angry) No buts! You stole! I will cut off your hands!

(Aladdin who saw the incident immediately intervened.)

Aladdin: Hey, wait! Don't hurt her!

Trader: And who are you? Want to get involved?

Aladdin: She's crazy! She often takes other people's things and says they are for her pet
monkey.

(The merchant looks at Jasmine suspiciously, then leaves while grumbling.)

Jasmine: (Whispers to Aladdin) Thank you. You saved me.

Aladdin: You're welcome. Come on, come with me.

(They both ran from the market and hid in Aladdin's house.)

Aladdin: (Give Jasmine a glass of water) Are you okay?

Jasmine: (Receives the glass) Thank you. I still can't believe you saved me.

Aladdin: You're welcome. By the way, what's your name?

Jasmine: I... I'm Jasmine.

Aladdin: Beautiful name. I'm Aladdin.

(They both were silent for a moment, looking at each other.)

Jasmine: Aladdin, I want to ask something.

Aladdin: Yes, what is that?

Jasmine: Do you ever get bored of living like this?

Aladdin: Sometimes, I feel like I really want to get out of here. See the wider world.
Jasmine: Me too. I always wanted to be free like a bird.

(They both laugh a little.)

(They kept talking, sharing dreams and hopes. Jasmine begins to feel attracted to Aladdin,
and vice versa. However, Jasmine did not dare reveal her true identity as a princess. One
month later, Aladdin returned to Agrabah as "Prince Ali Ababwa," making a grand entrance
at the Sultan's palace with immense wealth and a magic carpet, hoping to win Jasmine's
favor.)

Sultan: (impressed) "Look, my daughter! This Prince Ali Ababwa brings immense wealth
and seems to have great power! Truly a perfect match for you!"

Jasmine: (indifferently) "Father, he's just another prince here to marry me for status. I'm not
interested."

Aladdin: (smiling, trying to appear confident) "Princess Jasmine, allow me to show you a
world you've never seen before. I come not just with riches, but with a sincere heart."

Jasmine: (skeptical) "Every prince says the same thing. Why should I believe you?"

Aladdin: (a bit nervous, but trying to stay calm) "I understand your doubts. But perhaps if we
talk privately, you'll see that I'm different."

(Scene: Aladdin and Jasmine talk privately in the palace garden)

Jasmine: (observing Aladdin more closely) "There's something about you... The way you
talk, the way you move... You remind me of someone."

Aladdin: (looks uneasy, trying to remain composed) "Really? Maybe we have much in
common, but I assure you, I’m just Prince Ali."

Jasmine: (smiles slightly, becoming suspicious) "But when we met in the market, I
remember a young man who was brave and curious. You seem very much like him. You
must be him, aren’t you?"

Aladdin: (startled, looks at Jasmine anxiously) "I... I don't know what you mean, Princess."

Jasmine: (smiling, certain) "You can't hide who you really are from me. I know it's you,
Aladdin."

Aladdin: (sighs, looking down) "I just wanted you to see me for who I am, Jasmine. Not as a
prince, but as someone who truly cares about you."

Jasmine: (smiling warmly) "Maybe you don't need all this grandeur to make me see you.
Maybe I just needed to see your honesty."
(To prove that he was more than just a rich prince, Aladdin invited Jasmine to fly on his
magic carpet. At night, Aladdin went to visit Jasmine's room through the window.)

Aladdin : (whispers) Jasmine...

Jasmine: (startled, turns around quickly) Oh! Aladdin, you scared me!

Aladdin: (smiling) I didn't mean to. But I have something special to show you.

Jasmine: (curious) What is it?

Aladdin: (gesturing towards the window) Come with me. I promise it'll be worth it.

Jasmine: (hesitant but intrigued) Where are we going?

Aladdin: (extending his hand) Trust me. I want to show you something magical.

Jasmine: (takes his hand) Alright, let's go.

(They step out onto the terrace, and Jasmine sees the magic carpet hovering outside. Her
eyes widened in amazement.)

Jasmine: (in awe) A magic carpet? Aladdin, this is incredible!

Aladdin: (grinning) I wanted to prove to you that I'm more than just a rich prince. How about
a ride?

Jasmine: (excitedly) I would love that!

(Then, Aladdin invited Jasmine for a night walk. They got on the magic carpet and flew over
the river city with a truly beautiful view)

Aladdin: (smiling) Jasmine, how about we take a walk tonight? I want to show you
something beyond the kingdom's walls.

Jasmine: (excitedly) I'd love that, Aladdin! I've always wanted to see what's out there.

(They step onto the magic carpet, and it gently lifts them into the sky. They fly over the city,
with the river reflecting the moonlight below. Jasmine looks around in awe at the beautiful
view.)
Jasmine: (in wonder) This is breathtaking, Aladdin. I've never seen the city like this before.

Aladdin: (grinning) Just wait, it gets even better. Hold on tight!

(Aladdin guides the carpet higher, soaring above the clouds. The stars shine brightly around
them as they come to a stop, resting on the soft clouds. Aladdin pulls out a small, ornate
teapot and shows it to Jasmine.)

Jasmine: (curious) What's that, Aladdin?

Aladdin: (proudly) It's a magic teapot I found. It's supposed to have special powers, but I'm
not sure what it does yet.

(As Aladdin speaks, he absentmindedly rubs the teapot three times. Suddenly, a fat genie
bursts out, causing the carpet to jolt violently.)

Genie: (booming voice) Who dares summon the great Genie of the Teapot?

(The sudden appearance of the genie causes the carpet to tip, sending Jasmine and Aladdin
tumbling off. Aladdin, in a panic, grabs onto the genie's arm.)

Aladdin: (desperately) Genie, save me! Get me back on solid ground!

(The genie snaps his fingers, and Aladdin is safely transported back to the land. In his fear,
Aladdin forgets about Jasmine, who is falling rapidly towards the water.)

Jasmine: (screaming as she falls) Aladdin!

(Aladdin’s eyes widen in horror as he sees Jasmine fall into the water with a loud splash. He
runs to the river's edge, but it's too late. Jasmine hits her head on a rock beneath the water
and is gone.)

Aladdin: (in shock, whispering) Jasmine... No... What have I done? I'm so stupid.
(However, after a while, the regretful expression on Aladdin's face began to fade. He started
thinking about his future.)

Aladdin: (In his heart) I can't lose everything just because of one mistake. I still have life
ahead.

(His thoughts drifted to Jasmine's sister)

Aladdin: (Sardonic smile) Her sister is beautiful too. Maybe I can try approaching her.

(Aladdin brings Jasmine's body to the Sultan of Agrabah)

Aladdin: Your Majesty, I am very sorry for the death of Princess Jasmine. She... she
committed suicide.

Sultan of Agrabah: (Angry) Suicide? How could that be?

Aladdin: She felt very sad because she couldn't find her true love. She jumped off the magic
carpet.

(The Sultan of Agrabah glares at Aladdin, not believing the reason.)

Sultan of Agrabah: (Angry) Guard! Get him!

(The palace guards immediately invaded and arrested Aladdin.)

Aladdin: (Screaming) Your Majesty, I am not lying!

(Aladdin managed to escape with Jasmine's sister. They went to a place far from Agrabah.)

Aladdin: We're safe here. Nobody will find us.

Jasmine's sister: (Scared) I don't want to be like this, Aladdin. I want to go home.

Aladdin: Calm down, I will protect you.

(A few days later, the Sultan of Agrabah's troops discovered their hiding place.)
Squad Commander: Aladdin! Come out!

(Aladdin and Jasmine's sister tried to fight, but they were overwhelmed.)

Aladdin: (Takes out a magic teapot) Genie, I need your help!

Genie: (Appears) What is your request, sir?

Aladdin: Kill them all!

(Genie releases his power, destroying the Sultan of Agrabah's troops. And in the end, all of
the Sultan of Agrabah's troops all died. At that time Aladdin immediately ran away to a place
that was really really far away from Agrabah and never returned back.)
