The boilerGN M UNITit is a new high-performance heat generator for water production
hot for heating, which works with a liquid fuel burner. The body of the boiler
is composed of cast iron elements, connected by biconical shapes and steel rods. The elements
they have been specially designed with an optimal distribution of their fins to achieve a very high efficiency
thermal science, with the consequent energy savings. The insulation of the boiler is made up of a
thick layer of fiberglass, covered in turn by a reticulated and flame-retardant Kraft aluminum film.

10.ONANDOFF
At the time of startup, it is necessary to check that the valves of the circuits between the
the boiler and the installation are open, that the entire installation is filled with water and purged, that there are no
gas leaks or water losses neither in the installation nor in the boiler, that the electrical connections be
correct and that grounding has been carried out; that there are no flammable liquids or materials around
around the boiler; that the chimney has no obstructions.
With the boiler thermostat (3 - fig. 1) set to the 'minimum temperature' position, press the switch.
(2 -fig. 1) to apply tension to the boiler.
To achieve the ignition of the burner it is necessary:
Open fuel valve.
Adjust the boiler thermostat knob to the desired value (not lower than 50°C).
In this position, and after a preset waiting time (up to two minutes), the burner is set to
functioning.
The boiler will now operate automatically, controlled by the boiler regulation thermostat or
through other control devices (ambient thermostat, electronic control unit, etc.).

Note: If the boiler has to endure long shutdowns during the winter, in order to avoid damage...
Due to the ice, it is advisable to introduce antifreeze into the system or to drain the water.
Verify the proper ignition of the boiler, conducting ignition and shutdown tests through the
regulating thermostat.
Control the flue draft during operation.
Ensure that the boiler-flue connection is airtight.

13.TECHNICALANDDIMENSIONALCHARACTERISTICSOFTHEBURNER
Using modern technologies, FÉRROLI has produced these new devices capable of optimizing the
air-fuel mixture, thus obtaining high efficiencies, low CO and NOX content and a very flame
silent.
Most notable technical features:
lMinimum regulation of the combustion head's position in relation to the nozzle through a
micrometer screw.
lPrecise regulation of the intake air.
lAir cover with gravity closure at the burner end: this significantly limits dispersion.
heat session of the boiler during the shutdown.
lThe SUN burner is completed with preheating in the injector line to improve combustion.
to ensure a quick start after prolonged stops in the colder periods and with
diesel with paraffins.
lThe inspection and maintenance operations are very easy.

of the burner and the ignition transformer, therefore the phases of are carried out:
lhome ventilation
lpressurized part of the diesel circuit
lpre-lit, with discharge between the tips of the electrodes
b) Once the pre-ventilation is completed, the device opens the electromagnetic valve: the diesel reaches the sprayer,
and it comes out of it finely atomized.
The contact with the spark, present between the tips of the electrodes, determines the formation of the
llama.
At the same time, the security period begins.

21.BURNERMAINTENANCE
The burner requires periodic maintenance, which must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Maintenance is an essential factor for the proper functioning of the burner, thus preventing
excessive fuel consumption and therefore reducing pollutant emissions into the environment.
Before performing any cleaning and control operation, disconnect the main switch of the equipment.
Most of the components can be controlled by removing the protection.
lEnsure that there are no obstructions or dents in the supply and return pipes.

lThe correct regulation of all the elements indicated in this manual.
lTemperature of the fumes going to the chimney.
lContent of CO percentage2.
l CO content (ppm).
l Opacity index of the fumes, according to the Bacharach scale.
